GRAIN TEMPERATURE CONTROL IN THE FLOOR STORAGE

Grain-Watch temperature control spears are equipped with high-quality digital sensors and innovative 2-wire system, they are designed to control the temperature of the grain in flat storages (sheds, warehouses). The grain temperature can be controlled and managed by Grain-Watch PC system or by GW-200 manual temperature control indicator. Liros temperature control spears and cables are compatible with and can be integrated into a single system.

Measurement Spear is designed to measure the temperature of grain in the floor storage. They do not suite for using multipoint temperature transmitters and thermal log systems in general, existing in the market. In Ukraine, many farms and agricultural holdings inherited ready floor grain storage facilities. It is expensive to build a new elevator and is not always feasible. However, the losses from the floor storage without the automated temperature control system are around 15%. Therefore, the Swedish engineers of AB Liros Electronic developed and proposed more cost-saving option of grain temperature measurement in floor storage.

The supply program includes measurement spears made of fiberglass 2.5...6 meters long (up to 6 sensors) and steel — up to 3 meters long (2 sensors). This year, AB Liros Electronic offered a new product — 12-meter spear made of composite.

Measurement spear made of composite (GWTL-R) — flexible

GWTL-R is a temperature control spear of new generation. It is flexible, but strong. The spear can penetrate into the grain to the depths, which were previously impossible.

There are different lengths of spears up to 12 meters supplied. After use, it can be easily folded and kept until the next season.

Each spear has two connectors: they serve to connect the adjacent copies with cable or to connect to GW200 manual indicator or GWNET11 switching unit.

As mentioned above, the grain temperature can be initialized in two ways:

Either via GW-200 portable indicator or making a temperature control system complete, with display on the operator’s monitor.

Manual Temperature Indicators GW-200

They are used to display the temperature manually from the multipoint temperature transmitter or spear inside the grain mound.

It is easy to use: two user-friendly buttons, large symbols, backlit display.

Automatic temperature control in the granary

Measurement spears are stuck in the grain along the store perimeter, one spear can have to 6 sensors. The spears can be connected to GWNET01 network switch.

4 spears can be connected to one GWNET. Similarly, another 4 spears are connected to the the second same switch. The network switches are sequentially connected to each other, the output from the last GWNET16 switch is connected to GWAB controller. One controller can have up to 16 switches connected.

Thus, one GWAB can simultaneously have 64 spears connected.

In larger systems, the controllers are sequentially connected by RS-485 bus

or directly to GRAIN-WATCH System computer.
