SUPPLY OF P&F AND MITSUBISHI EQUIPMENT FOR THE CARDBOARD CUTTING MACHINE — KIEV CARDBOARD FACTORY

Facility description:

The machine is designed for slitting the cardboard fed from the cardboard machine. Sheet width is 4470 mm, tension — to 2800 N/m, operating speed — 1350 m/min., maximum diameter of unwound rolls — 2700 mm, maximum diameter of wound rolls — 1400 mm (up to 2000 mm), number of knives — 12 pcs.

Initial situation:

Equipment released in 1997, 1998 and 2010. It was used in Canada. After the purchase, it was dismantled and moved to the Kiev CBF. Due to the fact that many elements of the control system were designed to American standards of the mains (110 V, 60 Hz), as well as lack of documentation, it was decided not to restore the existing control and drive, but to develop and manufacture the new one based on Mitsubishi and Siemens equipment.

Project target (what should be done)

Development and manufacturing of the new control system and the electric drive in accordance with the standards accepted in Ukraine. Recovery of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Implementation of the centralized indication system for the given and actual position format of knives. Cable route instrument, installation, machine commissioning.

Works performed

  • Project development.
  • Production and supply of power cabinets, controller cabinet and remote I/O station, operator's workplace with SCADA upper level system.
  • Production of cable structures, laying, installation and connection of power and control cables.
  • Installation of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Replacing local indication of the position of knives to the network, implementation of data exchange with MES system.
  • PCO's in terms of the electric drive, automation, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Comprehensive commissioning and putting into production.

Used equipment:

  • Siemens— frequency transducers of the main drives of Sinamics S120 series, controller and remote I/O station, operator's panel.
  • Mitsubishi Electric— frequency transducers of the accessory drives of FR-A760 series, switching equipment.

Pepperl & fuchs — inductance sensors NJ2-PD-US-2.062-V93.

 

Achieved (Project result): Restored functioning, equipment delivered for the production operation. The option of the machine work on 3 different sleeve sizes has been implemented: 76, 100, 150 mm.
