APPLICATION OF FREQUENCY TRANSDUCERS ON ELEVATORS
Due to the transition of elevators to private ownership and the growing need for grain storage, the issues of energy and resource saving in the agricultural sector in Ukraine have acquired special importance. Today, almost all the mechanical energy for the operation of machines and gears is generated by the electrical energy from the electric drives. They consume more than 65% of all electricity generated in the country. One of the main targets here is the introduction of the frequency transducer or inverter based regulated electric drives in the various industries and public utilities.
It creates a feedback system, where the inverter automatically changes the electric motor speed so as to maintain various system parameters, such as pressure, flow, temperature, speed, etc. at the given level. Due to the optimal motor control, depending on the load, power consumption by the bucket elevators, conveyors, fans, and other units is reduced by 40-50%, and inrush currents, comprising 600-700% of the rated current and being a problem for start-up and control equipment, disappear at all. Thus, the use of frequency transducer based regulated electric drives allows to create a new energy saving technology, which not only saves the electric power, but also increases the service life of the electric motors and process equipment in general.

FR-D700, FR-E700, FR-F700, FR-A700.
To control the electric motors of equipment used in the grain processing and storage processes, CSC-AUTOMATION offers two versions of inverters: FR-F700 and FR-A700, for the low-power drives rated to 7.5 kW of FR-D series.
Why do the transducers of these series suit best?
The frequency transducers FR-F700 have high potential for energy saving. They perfectly suit for fans and pumps and for the following systems with reduced overload: exhaust systems, blowers, compressors and drive units with high degree of idling.
Well-equipped FR-A700 transducers combine the innovative functions and reliable technology for maximal power, efficiency and flexibility. They have a built-in regeneration module for the return of energy to the network when braking. In particular, FR-A700 is used for the drives with high torque and high speed.
Many functions and distinguished drive properties allow to apply this inverter in a variety of units, e.g. conveyors, bucket elevators, cranes, extruders, winding machines, etc.
For low-power drives rated to 7.5 kW, the multifunction frequency transducers of FR-D700 type can be used.
