Inclination and Acceleration Sensors

Pepperl+Fuchs Inclination and Acceleration Sensors: Reliable Monitoring in Any Environment

Pepperl+Fuchs inclination and acceleration sensors ensure accurate measurements even in harsh outdoor environments. They are used for aligning cranes, controlling acceleration in elevators, or monitoring the condition of large installations. Our portfolio includes inclination sensors, acceleration sensors, and F99 Fusion Inertial Measurement Units (IMU).

Unique Protection and Mounting Concept

The sensors are based on a two-component mounting concept. They always consist of a sensor module and an especially robust metal bracket. This combination provides optimal shock protection and makes the entire system more resistant to mechanical forces. The sensor can be quickly replaced without recalibration.

  • Exceptional Robustness: Protection rating IP68/IP69K for maximum durability even when used outdoors.

  • Resistance: Increased resistance to shock and vibration up to 100 g.

  • Global Use: E1 and GL (Germanischer Lloyd) approvals allow the sensors to be used on public roads and offshore.

F99 Fusion IMU: Precision in Dynamics

The F99 Fusion is an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) specially developed for dynamic applications.

  • Dynamic Compensation: The intelligent combination of an acceleration sensor and gyroscope compensates for external accelerations, guaranteeing error-free inclination determination even while in motion.

  • Measurement: The IMU measures inclination, acceleration, and yaw rate across three axes in a single device. Mounting is possible regardless of orientation.

  • Interface: Supports protocols like J1939 (5V) or CANopen (10V).

Typical Fields of Application

  • Inclination Sensors: Levelling work platforms, ensuring optimal alignment of solar systems.

  • Acceleration Sensors: Monitoring upper vibration limits in wind power plants, acceleration control in elevators.

  • F99 Fusion IMU: Limiting the angle of rotation in tilted positions on construction machinery, on-board weighing systems in port cranes.

F-Series Inclination Sensors

  • F99 Series (Cuboid shape): Single- or dual-axis measurement, range up to 360°, accuracy 0.2° – 0.5°.

  • F199 Series: Accuracy up to 0.15°. Housing is made of aluminum.
