Pepperl+Fuchs Inductive Positioning Systems (PMI)
Pepperl+Fuchs Inductive Positioning Systems (PMI): Perfection for Demanding Applications
The patented PMI inductive positioning system from Pepperl+Fuchs impresses with its wide variety of applications and optimal robustness. These systems can be used universally for linear position detection and for measuring angles of rotation. They are absolutely reliable even in dusty, dirty applications or extreme temperature fluctuations. The inductive principle does not require a special target, but only a simple steel actuator.
Your Benefits at a Glance
-
Robustness and Durability: Excellent robustness and durability thanks to noncontact, maintenance-free, and contamination-resistant technology.
-
Flexibility: Wide range of functions and flexibility due to the programmable measuring and switching range.
-
Cost Efficiency: Savings on additional sensors through simultaneous measuring and switching functions in a single device.
-
Process Reliability: High process reliability due to immunity to interference.
Overview of Core PMI Series
-
F90 Series: Offers IO-Link, simultaneous detection of two attenuator elements, and both measuring and switching functions in one device. ATEX versions are available for safe use in Ex zone $2/22$. Available in measuring lengths up to 120 mm.
-
F112 Series: Provides high-precision position data over a measurement length of 14 mm. The sensor is fully encapsulated with IP67 protection and features a robust metal housing.
-
F166 Series: Features an especially compact design and robust metal housing, ideal for basic applications with limited installation space.
-
F110 Series: Guarantees optimal reliability in position detection over longer distances—available in lengths up to 810 mm. It ensures exact positioning even in the case of larger mechanical tolerances thanks to an especially long reading distance of up to 6 mm.
-
F130 Series: Designed for noncontact, wear-free angle measurement from $0^{\circ}$ to $360^{\circ}$. It converts the angle into a 4 mA to 20 mA analog signal, making it ideal for valve position feedback on swivel drives.
