Solid Flow Meters FlowSlide

FlowSlide is a highly accurate, maintenance-free flow meter designed for free-flowing bulk solids (granules and powders) to continuously measure mass flow rate in free-fall applications. It utilises centrifugal force, which is directly proportional to the mass flow rate (kg/h), ensuring full process transparency, precise dosing and flow balancing. Available models:

• Baby FlowSlide (height 395 mm)

• Standard FlowSlide (700 mm)

• Maxi FlowSlide (1050 mm)

Measuring range: 30 kg/h to 300 t/h, volumetric flow 1–300 m³/h. Suitable for particle sizes 0–30 mm and bulk densities 40–3500 kg/m³.

Operating Principle

The product is guided along a circular slide where a centrifugal (centripetal) force is generated that is directly proportional to the mass flow rate (kg/h). Friction is minimised, making the measurement almost independent of bulk density, particle size and material elasticity. The system works as a dynamic scale in free-fall mode with no moving parts and uses high-speed electronics (250–500 measurements per second) for signal processing.

• Industries: plastics processing (granules), cereals, expanded polystyrene, wood pellets, dried parsley, catalysts, sand, fly ash, cement (except pharmaceutical applications).
