TM Series Turbine Flowmeters

Operating Principle

The TM series instruments are based on the rotation of a helical rotor (turbine) under the influence of the liquid flow. The rotor rotation speed is proportional to the linear flow velocity. The rotations are detected by a magnetic sensor (coil) that generates a pulse signal. The electronic converter processes the signal and outputs instantaneous flow rate, accumulated volume, as well as analog (4–20 mA) or digital output signals (HART, Modbus on request).

• High accuracy: ±0.5% of measured value, repeatability ±0.1%.

• Flow range: from 30 l/h to 650 m³/h (depending on DN).

• Turndown ratio: 10:1.

• Operating fluid temperature: –50…+170 °C (for some models –30…+150 °C).

• Maximum pressure: PN40 / PN16 (depending on size).

• Materials: stainless steel AISI 316L/431/329/430, bearings — tungsten carbide/graphite.

• Connections: flanged (DN15–DN150), threaded (G½), sanitary (Tri-Clamp®, DIN 11851, etc.).

• Output signals: 4–20 mA, pulse, voltage; local/remote indication, relays, batching.

• Options: ATEX Ex d explosion-proof version, 10 ms response time, operation with viscosity up to 100 mPa·s.
