How Whirligig Works with Speed Sensors

Whirligig is a disc or wheel with magnetic markers attached to the end of the elevator shaft. As it rotates, markers pass by the sensor (e.g., MSB or M1003), generating pulses. The system counts pulses to calculate rpm. On slip (10% drop) or stop — emergency shutdown signal. This protects against:
