PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene, often also referred to as Teflon®) is one of the most high-performance sealing materials used in industry. Thanks to its exceptional chemical resistance and temperature resistance from -60 °C to +200 °C, PTFE is suitable for applications involving particularly aggressive media.

 • very low coefficient of friction
 • wide temperature operating range

PTFE seals are especially common in the chemical and process industries as well as in many high pressure applications where the highest requirements for media resistance and tight sealing are essential.
