JUMO miroTRON – New electronic thermostat with optional PID two-state controller

JUMO has introduced the miroTRON (types 701090 / 701091), a compact electronic thermostat that can also operate as a full PID two-state controller.

The device measures temperature with an RTD probe (Pt100 or Pt1000, two-wire) and switches a powerful 16 A relay. It can be used as a simple heating or cooling thermostat or, with the optional PID function, as a P, I, PD, PI or PID controller complete with autotuning.

Two front diameters are available – Ø 60.5 mm (type 701090) and Ø 80.5 mm (type 701091) – so the instrument fits perfectly into panels previously occupied by classic dial thermometers.

Clear dual 18-segment LCD displays, four-language text guidance (EN / DE / FR / ES), a membrane keypad and optional Bluetooth® (JUMO smartCONNECT app) make operation and configuration straightforward. Configuration is also possible via USB (USB-powered) with the free setup program.

Additional functions include an integrated timer, service/operating-hours counter, three independent limit-value monitors and customer-specific linearisation. Fast PUSH-IN terminals speed up installation.

The miroTRON is designed for panel mounting (IP65 front), works from –10 °C to +55 °C and is available with 230 V AC, 115 V AC or 12–24 V DC supply.

Ideal for replacing mechanical thermostats or for simple closed-loop temperature control in machinery, process equipment and building automation.
