JUMO Implements Innovative Glass Level Measurement at a Bottle Production Plant

In response to the growing demand for eco-friendly glass packaging as an alternative to plastic, JUMO has successfully implemented a reliable solution for glass level measurement in melting furnaces at a glass bottle production plant.

High process temperatures have traditionally complicated accurate glass level monitoring. Conventional systems based on radar, optics, or other methods are often complex in operation and maintenance.

JUMO’s Spanish subsidiary has developed a user-friendly and precise solution based on a simple immersion principle using high-temperature resistant materials and thermocouples. The system ensures continuous and accurate adjustment of the molten glass mass, maximizing plant productivity while simplifying maintenance and calibration.

This innovation provides better diagnostics, predictive alarm signals, and easy replacement of consumable elements, significantly increasing the efficiency of hollow glass production.
