Concentrated acids do not forgive an ordinary pump — that is why FLUX specifies PVDF and Hastelloy

Pump type: drum pump F 430 PVDF with mechanical seal and motor F 458 (acid-resistant paint, IP55). Shaft Hastelloy C, impeller ETFE, PVDF hose and nozzle. Immersion 1 000 mm for a 200 l drum or 1 200 mm for a 1 000 l tote. With nozzle up to 40 l/min, up to +80 °C.

Media listed by FLUX: hydrofluoric acid to 40%, chloric acid, sodium hypochlorite, nitric acid to 10%, sulphuric acid to 90%, chromic acid.

For weaker acids there is a PP kit with F 424 or F 430: hydrochloric to 30%, phosphoric to 50%, sulphuric to 40%. The sealless F 424 is singled out for hydrochloric and chromic acid — less seal wear during acid transfer.
