Formic acid from a 1 000 l tote with no mains: COMBIFLUX FP 314

A specialty-chemicals plant fills formic acid from 1 000 l totes into small drums. Batches are small. Acid dripped after a ball valve. There is no 230 V supply on the floor.

Pump type: compact drum pump COMBIFLUX FP 314 (polypropylene) and battery motor FBM-B 3100, hose and anti-drip nozzle.

The tube stays in several totes. The motor is uncoupled and moved only to the container being emptied. One battery serves several vessels; drip after draw-off stops.
