SCAIME Enhances Durability of AVX Load Cell with New Stainless Steel

SCAIME, a leader in industrial weighing solutions, has announced an upgrade to its AVX single point load cell, making it more durable by incorporating a new type of stainless steel that offers superior corrosion resistance. This advancement is particularly significant for applications in the marine and food processing industries.

The AVX load cell, designed for use in scales and packaging machines within the food, chemical, and pharmaceutical sectors, now features 1.4418 stainless steel for capacities up to 75 kg. This material enhances the load cell's resistance to corrosive environments, making it ideal for seafood packaging and other saline applications.

With weighing capacities ranging from 7.5 kg to 125 kg, the AVX load cell is known for its high accuracy and ability to perform in challenging conditions. It is hermetically sealed and offers the highest level of environmental protection (IP68/IP69K), suitable for wet environments and frequent high-pressure washing.

Salt spray tests have confirmed the improved corrosion resistance of the new design. The AVX load cell is available in C3 or C6 certified versions, meeting the standards of the International Organization of Legal Metrology (OIML) for commercial weighing applications.
