Clamp-on flow measurement of coolants for an induction furnace.

In one of their hot-dip galvanizing (HDG) plants in Belgium, steel manufacturer AcelorMittal needed a reliable flowmeter to monitor the coolant for its induction furnace. Prioritizing long-term measurement stability over the highest accuracy of inline meters and aiming to avoid pipe modifications, the operator selected our OPTISONIC 6300 clamp-on flowmeter. Installed near the furnace, the device demonstrated its ability to perform in environments with electromagnetic radiation, offering a robust and non-invasive solution to the customer’s monitoring needs.
