Flow measurement of wet biogas

 An operator of a wastewater treatment plant runs a combined heat and power plant (CHP) with biogas gained from the wastewater treatment. To measure the corrected gas volume flow accurately in real time, the plant operator uses the ultrasonic gas flowmeter "OPTISONIC 7300 Biogas" with integrated temperature measurement. There was no need for a separate gas analyser as the flowmeter also features integrated methane content measurement. In this way, the operator is always provided with information on the gas composition and can take steps to maintain the efficiency of the CHP plant or maximize the biogas yield as necessary.
