CSF Inox TS twin-screw pump: gentle transfer of products with pieces

The TS series is a hygienic twin-screw pump for media that a centrifugal impeller shears: yoghurt, soft cheese, fruit preparation, purée with pieces, chocolate cream. On a Ukrainian food or pharma line it gives a steady volumetric feed and can run CIP at high speed on the same pump.

CSF Inox: the TS pump is all stainless steel, wetted surfaces to hygienic design; EHEDG and 3-A versions on request. Intended for delicate and viscous fluids with soft solids, high differential pressure, strong suction and low pulsation. The manufacturer also notes no foaming even with high gas content. Flexible-coupling build or close-coupled TSM.

The TS/TSM leaflet adds CIP and SIP. Typical products: juices, purées and concentrates with pieces, chopped tomatoes and vegetables, fruit salads, chocolate and custards, ice cream; dairy — milk, cream, soft cheese, yoghurt, curds, ricotta; pharma and cosmetics — fluids, creams, gels, shampoos. Colly Flowtech lists TS flows up to 180 m³/h, 16 bar, 140 °C, wetted AISI 316L, Ra ≤ 0.8 µm. Low speed for viscous product; high speed for CIP on the same loop.

Why not a CS centrifugal or a PA piston pump. An open CS impeller cuts soft pieces and shears yoghurt and cream. A PA piston pump empties a thick drum (tomato paste, honey); it is not a continuous gentle line pump. Twin-screw sits between them: even feed, product with pieces, reversible flow, CIP without a second pump.

CIP scavenge and foaming return on the same line is a different duty — the 3-A self-priming ASH. ASH does not replace TS on a filling with pieces. CSC-AUTOMATION selects the TS by viscosity, particle size, CIP/SIP and pressure.
