Cybersecurity: KROHNE achieves IEC 62443 certification
KROHNE Messtechnik GmbH has received the IEC 62443-4-1 certificate. The successful audit by TÜV Rheinland proves that cybersecurity management processes for field devices are established at KROHNE Group’s main development site. It applies especially to the development of devices with wireless technologies like Bluetooth, as well as for Internet Protocol based interfaces (integrated web servers, MQTT, OPC UA), making them secure against data theft or attacks from hackers.
"High plant availability and process safety are top priorities for KROHNE. Cybersecurity makes a decisive contribution to this, and with the IEC 62443 certification, KROHNE lays another foundation stone for the development of secure products." says Christoph Spiegel, Strategic Product Manager at KROHNE. “Ultimately, cybersecurity can only be ensured by taking a holistic view of the system. As our customer, you can take advantage of our know-how. Together with our long-standing partners, we will be happy to advise you.”
The certification demonstrates KROHNE’s continued focus on satisfying criteria for safe and reliable instrumentation and expands the management systems certification landscape (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) that applies for the worldwide development and production sites.
